This iZotope Ozone 6 installation guide was created using Ozone 6 Advanced on a Mac running OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks. This guide however also applies to Ozone 6 (standard) installation, and can also be followed by PC users.

Installing Ozone 6 Advanced

When you have purchased iZotope's Ozone 6 from Time+Space, you will receive an email with your serial number and a link to download the required contents.

[If this is your first iZotope product, you will need to follow the link below and create a new user account with iZotope (http://www.izotope.com/en/account/log-in/)]

Once you have a user account with iZotope, click the download link in the email, and enter your registered email address into the required box.

Next you will need to select the download type you require (Mac or PC) and start your download.

When the file has finished downloading to your computer, you will need to open it and run the included Ozone 6 installer.

Once you have gone through the install wizard and accepted the software license agreement, you will be prompted to select which features you would like to install.

If you are not sure what you will need, it is advisable to just leave the default options ticked and press 'Continue'.

[Please note, iZotope Insight is now installed within the Ozone 6 Advanced installer, and no longer requires a separate installation or separate serial number.]

Once you have selected your install features, press 'Continue' and start the 'Install'.

Near the end of the installation, you will be prompted if you would like to 'check for updates to iZotope software', press yes on this prompt, and your plug-ins will be scanned to see if there are any newer versions for any of your iZotope products.

If any updates are found, you will be prompted with an updates window where you can follow the on screen prompts.

Once the installation is complete and all checks have been run, you will be prompted with an installation was successful window, which you can then 'Close'.

Authorising Ozone 6 Advanced

When the installation is finished, you will next need to open Ozone 6 and authorize the product. It is always best practice to authorize using the standalone version.

To open Ozone 6 on Mac, simply go to the Spotlight (top-right magnify glass) and search for Ozone. On PC go to Start, Applications and look for the iZotope Ozone 6 icon.

The first time Ozone 6 opens, you will be prompted with an Authorization box.

After clicking 'Authorize' you will need to enter your serial number (provided in your email) and the Name and E-mail address used to create your iZotope user account.

[If you intend to use Ozone 6 offline, here you will need to press the 'Offline Authorization' button and follow the on screen instructions.]

After pressing 'Authorize' you will see a pop-up box confirming your details for you to then press 'Submit'.

Ozone 6 should now be fully authorized and ready to go!

If you intend to use Ozone 6 inside of your music software as a plug-in, you should now open your music host / DAW and check the plug-in is now available.

[Please note only Ozone 6 Advanced has all of the modules available as separate plug-ins. Ozone 6 (standard) consists of the main Ozone 6 plug-in.]
